Bedrooms

All of the original decorative plasterwork and the impressive timber staircase have been retained showing off the best of the building's Victorian Heritage.

The building has been extensively refurbished over the last number of years and we offer 10 warm, all non-smoking, comfortable and richly decorated bedrooms all with full modern en-suite bathrooms. Each room has direct dial telephone, flat screen television and hospitality tray for tea and coffee. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all bedrooms and public areas.

Four of our rooms offer stunning views over St. Andrews bay to the Angus Coast and the hills beyond. We offer both Double and Twin rooms and two of our rooms have purpose designed sofa beds offering space for family accommodation. Single occupancy of any room is also welcomed – especially popular for single guests are our 2 “small” doubles on the top floor. One double/twin room is available on the ground floor for those who find climbing stairs difficult and is also available to single guests.

Children are welcome and we can provide high chair and travel cot. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower although these vary in size as a result of retro fitting in a property in the Conservation area. No two bedrooms are the same at Hazelbank as we have tried to maintain the original Victorian era layout as much as possible but be assured that they are all looked after equally by our staff.

Substantial breakfasts are served in our bay-windowed dining room on the ground floor and alcoholic drinks (Beers Wines Champagne) are available from room service for resident guests. Superb drinking and dining facilities are available immediately next door, only 10 yards from us, in the Russell Hotel. Other famous St. Andrews venues are all within 5 minutes’ walk – Dunvegan,Vine Leaf, Ardgowan, Adamson, Maisha, Blackhorn and a plethora of other food and drink outlets offering ethnic and local choices not forgetting of course Janetta’s Gelateria or Luvians.
